September is the new October. Nothing but horror films for as long as the eye can see. Between zombies, cursed books, demonic interstellar clowns and existential space voyages, September has had nothing but gothic thrills and dramatic terror. Although not the best month, at the very least, September kept on brand… profiting off the upcoming Halloween season.
#4 The Dead Don’t Die [Kingdom of the Criminally Dull…]
An elongated black comedy of niche proportions where the charm of its cast does very little in reanimating any sorts of entertainment.
#3 Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark [Kingdom of the Criminally Dull…]
A perfectly consumable spot of horror; neither wonderfully extraordinary or meek and plainly ordinary.
#2 It Chapter Two [A CRUSADE!!]
A chilling, rather dramatic, follow up to a superior original that drags through tedious sessions despite offering a great revival of clown-faced terror.
#1 Ad Astra [A CRUSADE!!]
A meditative exploration of the self; not perfect, but holding a keen eye for visual flare.
